Albany, New York — Monday, June 5, 2023 — American Nurses Association – New York (ANA-NY) and the Center for Nursing at the Foundation of New York State Nurses, Inc. (FNYSN) are proud to announce the formation of an official organizational relationship. While both organizations have frequently collaborated throughout the past decade, a formal memorandum of understanding codifies the longstanding relationship.

“This formal relationship establishes processes and procedures that enable both ANA-NY and FNYSN to further engage with innovative shared services,” explains ANA-NY Executive Director Jeanine Santelli, Ph.D., RN, AGPCNP-BC, FAAN. “This is a natural progression of the organizations’ ongoing collaboration.”

Along with the official relationship, ANA-NY and FNYSN are excited to announce that members and supporters of both organizations will have access to the CINAHL Database, an authoritative index of nursing and allied health journals designed to support nurses, allied health professionals, researchers, nurse educators, and students in researching their subject areas.

“Access to CINAHL is the first of many opportunities that are available to members thanks to the FNYSN and ANA-NY relationship,” explains FNYSN Executive Director Deborah Elliott, MBA, BSN, RN. “We anticipate many future benefits for both organizations throughout this professional journey.”

ANA-NY and FNYSN look forward to continued collaboration in this official capacity as both organizations work to engage and support nurses across New York State.
