Each year ANA-NY fully funds two members’ attendance to ANAI, a program held in Washington, DC where ANA Government Affairs staff provide a deep dive into legislation and advocacy. Attendees select a project to develop with the support of ANA staff and an ANA-NY mentor.
ANA-New York (ANA-NY) members who are enrolled in a RN-BS program are eligible to apply for the ANA-NY RN-BS Nurse Leader Fellowship Program.
RN-BS Nurse Leader Fellow candidates will submit a proposal for a two-semester project that adds membership value for ANA-NY members. Fellows selected will receive a $1500 stipend upon completion of project, presentation, and submission of final report with metrics. The proposed project may be developed in conjunction with an academic program requirement (i.e., change project for a leadership course, advocacy project for a policy course, quality improvement project for a clinical course etc.).
Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are members-only communities within ANA-NY that are focused on a single topic or area of interest in an effort to advance a specific area of knowledge, learning, or technology and support members in collaboration to affect or to produce solutions within their fields.
One of the best ways ANA-NY members can get involved with the organization is through committee volunteerism. We have several committees so that you can find an opportunity that aligns with your interests and skills.
Individuals interested in joining a committee are invited to sign up in September of each year. New committee members are not accepted on a rolling basis.
