ANA-New York RN-BS Nurse Leader Fellowship

Fellowship Process 

RN-BS Nurse Leader Fellow candidates will submit a proposal for a two-semester project that adds membership value for ANA-NY members. Fellows selected will receive a $1500 stipend upon completion of project, presentation, and submission of final report with metrics. The proposed project may be developed in conjunction with an academic program requirement (i.e., change project for a leadership course, advocacy project for a policy course, quality improvement project for a clinical course etc.).  

The ANA-NY Board of Directors will review the applications and select the fellowship recipient(s) for the next year based on the criteria below. The class of fellows will be announced at the ANA-NY Annual Conference held in the fall. An ANA-NY member with relevant experience will be designated to mentor and guide each fellow during the year-long project. The fellows will report the outcomes of their projects at the ANA-NY Annual Conference or other event approved by the Executive Director. 

Application Criteria 

• Current ANA-NY Member 
• Evidence of enrollment in a RN-BS program and number of remaining semesters of study in the program

• Outcome: State the deliverable(s) and value to ANA-NY membership from this project 
• Target audience: Designate which demographic of ANA-NY members are targeted to engage with/use/promote the outcome of the project 
• Funding: Describe any associated costs to implement this project 
• Metrics: Describe the metrics to measure success of the project

• Breadth of project impact to members/ROI to members 
• Level of office team support needed 
• Sustainability
