Workforce Expansion Program: Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention — Notice of Funding Opportunity Opening Soon

The Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) - Workforce Expansion Program (WEP) is expected to launch soon (HRSA-24-098)

The Health Resources and Services Administration has dedicated $4.75 million to NEPQR-WEP. This program aims to increase the nursing workforce in rural (non-metro) and underserved areas to address the critical shortage of nurses, specifically in acute and long-term care settings. 

Eligible Applicants: Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, private institutions of higher education. An accredited school of nursing, a health care facility, or partnership of such a school and facility. Entities that confer associate’s degrees in nursing, such as community colleges, are eligible.
