The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has released the final report from the 2025 Nursing Workforce Summit, held on June 9, 2025. The report brings together insights from nursing and healthcare leaders across practice, education, and policy sectors to address New York’s nursing workforce challenges.
The findings outline strategies to strengthen recruitment, retention, education, and overall workforce development across the state. The recommendations (pages 56–60) focus on building a more sustainable and supported nursing workforce for the future.
